What does my computer need to be able to accept the software for a digital camera?
I have a Finepix A403 digital camera and each time I put the Software disc into my computer the disc just spins around and around and nothing else happens, I even purchased a new disc thinking that the original one was faulty but still nothing, I have also just purchased a usb cable for my Mobile phone + software to download pics, but I have the same problem, so your help would be much appreciated!
Many thanks.
Laymans terms please as this is completely alien teritory for me.
Thanks!

what You need to do, is to go to your main list if programs of installed items: literally, go through EVERY installed main programs, then click also on THE ARROW NEXT the main program you get a sub.program. somewhere you got the program installed, it normally would be there. hidden away, so go get it tiger!!

Hi, I don't know much about PCs, but I will do my best to help.
1. If your CDrom is new you have to put the software CD for is to identify.
2. If the CDrom is old, you have to clean it, how? There are some stuff in the markets that help you to do. For example: there are some kind of CD that you put some liquid on it in order to clean.
3.For the usb, if its not working at all, try to install the motherboard CD (Chipset). If it didn't work check the usb conncetion to make sure the connection utself work correctly.
4.Some times you may find more than CD cameras thats for other oprate systems make sure the CD you've got is for your oprating system.
That's all I've got, I hope it helped.
Note: If your usb is built in, you gatta take for a PC shop to check the motherboard.
NEVER formatt your system for such a small problem

As you said that nothing happens after inserting a disk then you should go to 'my computer' and then right click on the cd-rom device and select 'autoplay'. if autoplay option is not there then double click on the cdrom. Well if error comes stating you to insert a disk or if a open page opens then their is a fault in the cd rom device, try to clean it using available cd cleaners and if taht doesnt work, the only option is to but a new drive.

Try backup your important data, then format the computer and reinstall the operating system ( windows or Mac ), then try to install the camera drivers .. it might be because of the OS, or there might be problem with your CD-ROM

my first move would be to double-click "my computer" and look for the disk in there.. it should be in D: drive or E: drive. Open it and see if there is a way to run it. Oh, and have you tried plugging the camera into the computer with the USB cord?

when the disc is in try going start menu, run, go browse, go back until you come to the my computer place. select the drive you put it in. then just run that. that should get the program running. if not contact the manufacture by email.
