when air moves quickly, in the form of wind they have some force and this force can be captured, just like the energy in moving water can be captured by the turbine in a hydroelectric dam. In the case of a wind-electric turbine, the turbine blades are designed to capture the kinetic energy in wind. The rest is nearly identical to a hydroelectric setup: When the turbine blades capture wind energy and start moving, they spin a shaft that leads from the hub of the rotor to a generator. The generator turns that rotational energy into electricity. At its essence, generating electricity from the wind is all about transferring energy from one medium to another.

Wind Energy is Converted in Electric energy by the means of an appratus commenly known as PAWAN CHAKKI.
This Apparatus is a Pulley connected to Big Blades, which moves by the air flow, The pulley connected to alternator produces electricity.

first of all, a wind farm is erected. it has windmills as you know. the minimum wind velocity for a wind farm to operate is 15kmph. the blades of the windmill as designed in such a way that when the wind blows, a pressure difference is created between them and the blades rotate. the blades are connected to the armature of an electric generator. when the blades rotate, the coils of the armature rotate simultaneously in a magnetic field, thus producing electricity. hope this helps you!
