Any thing that you consider it to be. But the true meaning is following your heart but only if the other person is following theirs. You see it is a two way thing always. The only way to know that He is in love is if he feels what it is that you are starting to. It is better that he feels it more than you because that way you will always be loved cherished and adored. Which is most helpful when you get older and put on the creams at night and he still wants to chase you around the bed.

True love is pretty much undefinable. It's one of those things in which every person has a different definition to it and if you ask me, the divorce ratio in this country alone (1:2) is due mostly to the fact that people are too hurried and lack the intelligence to justify their feelings for one another and their exact definition of what love truly is. I couldn't even begin to tell what it is but I do have a tendency to know what I'm looking for.

In 21st century it means something which you cherish till the time it makes you happy and ends when it starts demanding more dedication and commitment. Greatest pass time usually.

True Love has nothing to do with time. It does not change as time changes. It still means the same as it was meant in the era of Ramayana , Mahabharata. It is the same as that was felt by Shahjehan for Mumtaz Mahal.
