Reverse it, people think too much because of depression. They lose interest in stuff, start to wonder why, and that wondering leads to way too much thought. It snowballs.

They have a higher chance to be affected. E. g. because some things waunt work out. They start to worry. Ppl that do not think much would not even notice that they have a problem. Intensive thinking is hard work. Overdoing would infatigue and depress. Activity in the sun is rumored to help against depression.
That is what info i picked up some while ago.

Yes i suffer from it-- and i do think people who have too much time on their hands or just has time to spend alone think too much sometimes about things that dont even matter-- that can lead them into depression-- for example when im alone and don't have anything to do- my mind would just go off -- and think about really bad things-- therefore leading me to become sad and depressed when actually this stuff really never happened-- but I still don't know how to stop it-- i guess I'll have to find away to keep myself busy..

I don't agree.. Maybe people with depression think to much, or worry to much.. But it does not cause depression. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain..True depression that is.. situational depression is a whole other entity...

I don't know who said that but it sounds rather silly. Depression happens to people for different reasons, plain and simple.

depression can happen to anybody. sometimes it is brought on by stressfull situations/experiences, sometimes just imbalances in brain chemistry. Just because someone has a busy, active mind does not mean he or she is more prone to depression than someone who is more laid back.

I'm sure there are many reasons more logical than yours. Unless you can put yourself in their shoes, i would quit with the broad assumptions that you are not qualified to ascess. Some people have things to be depressed about, some people are just emotionally unbalanced, who the hell cares?
