Wax is used to stop the irritation you can get from the metal rubbing your lips/cheeks....use it on any brackets or wires that are irritating you...otherwise, ibuprofen and warm salt water rinses help a ton. Good luck.

The wax is in case the brace ever starts to rub against your inside lip and starts to cut it. Rub the wax on the brace where this happens and it should help that. As for the pain this is normal and will go away in 3-5 days or so. I had the same problem take a tylenol this should help. Also you may experience this pain as they tighten your braces during your visits

Use the wax especially now at the beginning. The inside of your mouth needs to time to build up scar tissue to adjust to the metal. The wax will help lessen the pain and bleeding. The wax would be very useful at night when sleeping since you will put pressure on your cheeks from laying on the pillow. Basically, whenever you feel pain, use the wax on the spot the pain comes from. That's what it's there for.

you use the wax if it rubs agaisnt ur mouth but if they are just generally achey then take painkillers like paracetamol or nurofen or something and the pain goes totally in less than a week
