Century 21 down by ground zero. Multi floor department store selling designer clothes (and some rubbish so you have to hunt through) for stupid prices. Particularly good for jeans.
Also a chain throughout Manhatton called Blues. Again great deals on named brand jeans, t shirts, jackets, etc etc.
There is one on Broadway between Wall Street and City Hall, One up by Central Park again on Broadway, two on 4th at the back of Times Square.

nothing is cheap in manhattan..period...try the flea mkts on twenty sixth and sixth sun morn. you might get a break..we had to go across the border to union city nj.

Don't bother wiht Century 21, you'd need to spend your entire trip rakinng through crap and you'd still be struggling to find something half decent.

Daffy's Lohman's T J Maxx i imagine at long island Mall (@ herald sq./thirty fourth street) yet what do you advise "lower priced"? because those are lower priced AND clothier. Even more low-cost is old military and CONWAY, yet that could no longer clothier.
