I am 18 years old and in my first year of college, and I was thinking about doing a study abroad program this fall or next spring where I go and live in either Germany, Italy, or France for a year but I cannot decide which place I would like to go to, so my questions are:

-Which place is best for young people ?
-Which place has the most activites ?
-Which place has the friendliest people ?
-Which place has the hottest guys and best nightlife ?

Thank you for your help :)

There's only one correct answer: Berlin.

You'll meet the probably youngest population in the world if you move to Prenzlauer Berg.

You'll be able to chose between 30 different restaurants and cafes of all nationalities in a radius of 500 meters around your apartment.

You'll have the best club scene all over the world (and I've been to quite a lot of places the last years) with the very best DJs.

You'll have all the major (and independent) bands playing in Berlin.

You'll have 4 to 6 pages in small print full with tipps for going out EVERY DAY.

You'll have more cinemas, theaters, operas, museums, galleries than anywhere else in the world (and if not most, then at least some of the best)

You'll have incomparably cheap rent (100 sqm for 800 Euros is expensive).

You'll meet lots of young, creative people from all over the world (because they've been moving there since 1995 and the constant stream of people moving to Berlin doesn t stop).

In summer you have lots of lakes around Berlin. It's also the "greenest" city in europe, because it has lots of parks.

You'll be able to buy plane tickets to any other great town in europe for as cheap as 10 Euros (for example to London, Paris or anywhere in Italy).

And last not least: german guys are incredibly hot! I know what I'm writing about because I am one...haha... but sorry: I'm in Tokyo (8 sqm for 800 Euro...ouch).

Have fun!

PS: Only negative thing about Berlin is the Winter. It can be really cold (- 10 C). But I've heard that this year was quite warm (10 C).

Natasha, I've been in most European countries and to be honest with you, for a person that likes to club and wants to drink and be left alone by the police and bandits(they offset each other!) Try Germany. There haven't been any attacks from terrorist groups and the bar scene is usually catering to the crowds that appreciate the type of music/genre that is played on a regular basis. Also, there is a BIG difference in the area you go to as far as weather, views of Americans and opportunities for young people, so choose carefully. The cities offer much more culture and cosmopolitan feel than the countryside; they have only recently moved from an agrarian society to an industrialized nation in the past 60 years, unless you like to be around cows!

Well, I know the 3 countries pretty well, but I don´t know the answers to your questions....there are young people everywhere and concerning activities it depends what your interests are.....it is also impossible to say in which country the people are the friendliest, although people in France and especially Italy are more outgoing...and about the hottest guys it depends on your preferences.....but one thing is for sure..if you´re looking for a lot of romance and attention. go to Italy...the favourite hobby of most Italians is seducing women....(and being a foreigner, they will follow you all the time!) and a lot of them are indeed hot!!! another thing is if they are good boyfriendmaterial, haha...
what else?
I personally wouldn´t go to Germany, the weather, food and language are terrible....if you don´t mind the male attention, go to Italy (but not to the north, not a very good climate either)...Rome is beautiful and don´t forget the food!!! Hope I was of any help...

I haven't been to any of those places, but I've heard Germany has an amazing night life, especially if you're into club music such as trance, techno, electronica at all. Germany is home to some of the hottest clubs of trance music. I guess it all depends on what city you move to though. Good Luck and have fun! :)

This is Germany :):
