Everyone is different ,you can be happy on your own, then again if he has been hurt alot in the past he may not want to trust again, give him time ,i am sure he will start dating again at some point ,but if he doesnt its his choice.

he has obviously been very hurt in the past! And it is very natural to feel this way,but he never knows that , there maybe a special person out there for him somewhere may not be for along while or even tomorrow you never know! He may feel very differently when that happens but for now hes happy on his own and there is nothing wrong with that! So no hes not in denial he is just a bit soul destroyed but it will fix!

sometimes people just get overly fed up after too many bad relationships and will feel this way. I certainly can understand, but over time if they meet the right person that may change how they feel if after they have evaluated themself and know what it is that they want for themself then this makes it easier to have a relationship that is complimenting rather than competitive.

If you describe it in terms of girlfriend, in this day and age I can understand someone being able to truely be a peace being alone...Some guys are ok with just friendship...I don't know how they do it.

Depends, if his heart has been broken or he has been let down many times, he may thinks it's not worth the hassle!

Yes you can. If you teach yourself to enjoy things alone you definitely can be. All you need is some lateral thinking.

gently down the flow, yeah. I spent countless years rolling in others' boats in accordance to their needs, and that i love the boat and loving myself in this manner that God needs me to.
