I am basically an accounts professional, having experience of around 15years. But not in IT field. and not professionally qualified also. Now if I want to shift to IT field, which will have more demand in future, taking the trend into consideration?

SAP and ORACLE r like the two sides of the same coin... if u want head u will loss tail and vice-versa... no1 really can tell which is more demanding in future bcoz technology changes very fast... no1 can predict it which1 is better SAP and ORACLE... its totally depend on company way doing activities.. sum consider SAP while sum ORACLE... so, its better 2 learn both.. get perfect in both... so tht future is in ur hand..

Both are great companies.

Oracle
SAP
PeopleSoft (now part of Oracle)
Baan (now part of SSA)
JD Edwards (now part of Oracle)
Siebel (now part of Oracle)
SSA

All those system are very good systems.

The best ERP system is the one that covers the needs of the customer, with the lowest costs... There is no clear winner yet.

You should have a look to Yahoo or Google Finance.
Search for the Symbol ORCL. You will have a much better view of the market.

your comparing apples to oranges in my opinion. but more companies will have an Oracle instance installed than an SAP infrastructure. I would imagine that simply due to cost, only larger companies would go through the expense of using SAP.

SAP is an application that runs on Oracle so suffice it to say that you'll need Oracle as long as you want to use SAP!

Both. If I would have been at your place I would have gone for Business Analysts position or Oracle Finance.
