Imagine what the vet will do, open tail surgury? its cartilage, not bone it can't be set or repaired. So save yourself a lot of money and let it heal on its own.

You should take her ro the vet because the tail of a cat for some reason don't heal. A vet can tell you how serious it is and tell you what needs to be done.

Take her to the vet ASAP. Some cats need their tails cropped if their injury doesn't start to heal. It could become infected so take her to the vet so they can determine whether her tail will be fine or not. Even if it does have to be cropped (shortened) cat's have perfectly fine lives without them (think of manx cats).

I would take her to the vet to be on the safe side........ she could be in pain..... and ppl who say 'let it heal on its own & don't waste your money' shouldn't have pets..... you should treat your pets as part of the family, if your child slammed their finger in the door would you just say 'ah, she'll be right' ??
