I knew the answer but decided to look it up to better explain it. Scotch Bonnet is a type of Habanero, considered the hottest pepper in the world. Words such as blistering and incendiary are used to describe the heat. The red Scotch Bonnet is sweeter and a little less hot than other Habaneros, but still extremely hot. This variety will produce a crop in climates not quite hot enough for some of the others. The flavor is citrusy, resembling apricot. Great for salsa.
My ex boyfriend used to make a salsa out of them that was so hot you really couldn't enjoy the flavor because your face was being burned off. I hope that I have been some help to you.

Scotch Bonnet or the extremely tiny birds eye chilli. As a general rule of the thumb the smaller the chilli, the hotter the taste.

Tepín (Capsicum annuum v. aviculare), the tiny round fruit 1/4" across, is only harvested from wild plants growing in the dry desert of Northern Mexico, much hotter than habanero or tabasco. Plants are late maturing, usually requiring 120 days for green fruit and 200 days from the setting out of plants to mature red ripe fruit.

I have heard that Scots bonnet are the hottest, I have some
dry Bolivian rainbow chilies , they are mega hot.
