I was wondering why i have found no priesthood like the one the Catholic church in the bible. I found 40 chapters given on the levitical priesthood in the old testiment with every function of the priest hood given and 4 chapters on the priesthood of the believers in the new testiment. Also i found a scripture stating you are prist and kings. And another scripture stating Jesus is made the hight priest with a oath. And another stating he is the only mediator between man and GOD. So as the priesthood of the catholic church is not practiced by the apostles, not taught by the apostles and not fortold in the old testiment. How can you hold that it is from God?
Also another scripture states call no man Father other then your Father in heaven and the catholic church call all the priest father, the bishops and the pope included.

ALL of which is taught by the Catholic Church.

How did you draw THAT conclusion, considering the Church DOES teach all the aforementioned? I noticed you never did bother to share with us just what IS your undoubtedly warped idea of the Catholic priesthood...

+ Presbyters +

The Catholic priesthood is described in the Bible as presbyters in:
+ 1 Timothy 5:19
+ 1 Peter 5:1
+ 2 John 0:1
+ 3 John 0:1

Priests (presbyters) and deacons assist bishops (apostles) just like in the Bible.

The Presbyterian Church is named for this biblical vocation.

+ Call no man your father +

In context, Matthew 23:7-9 reads, "... And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven."

This is call for humility for those in leadership roles. Not to be taken literally.

We are not to deny our male parent and cut the Commandment to honor our father and mother in half.

Some leaders in any church may fall into the same folly as the pharisees of Jesus' day.

+ With love in Christ.

Read Hebrews Chapter 9 and 10.
The NIV uses the term covenant in the place of testament.
Jesus fulfills the role of high priest.

Not really. The older and current Catholic Church is in such a mess because it took on to many different other Religions rites and rituals . to try and get them to convert to Christianity. But keep these rites and rituals even after they declared those religions to be SATAN Worshipers because they wouldn't or didn't totally convert.
The only other closest idea is the reign of SATAN before the second coming and the rapture.

No, read the book of Acts, it discusses how the early church was formed and names pastor, deacon and elder as the named positions in the church.
Most of what the Catholics have (bishops, archbishops, etc etc ad nausea) is from pagan religions back then. Nowadays it's just called "church tradition."

One of the reasons we had the Protestant Reformation is to RETURN to what scripture teaches about the church and Christian life...
