"All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: They have their exits and their entrances...” wrote William Shakespeare, one of the greatest dramatists of all time. Shakespeare saw the world as a large theatre. If all the world is indeed a stage, and life is a play, and all of us are mere actors, then this view leads to some interesting corollaries. Who is the author and the director of this play?
Obviously, God. The Indian view that creation is God’s leela - play - supports this view. What do birth and death signify? Birth corresponds to "Enter" and death to “Exit” in a play. Feeble-minded people in the world often lose courage in life and commit suicide. This extreme step, in terms of theatre, is like an actor losing his head and abruptly walking off the stage in a huff even before his part in the play has ended. Murder, similarly, is like someone pushing a fellow-actor off the stage to stop him from further participation in the drama. Both are tantamount to disrupting the play, and so amounts to corrupting the script of God. Little wonder therefore that all religions unequivocally denounce both murder and suicide as vile sins.
A play has all kinds of characters: king, nobleman, peasant, tradesman and more. All are equally dear to the author. All combine to contribute to the total effect of the drama.
Nobody is superior, nor is anybody inferior merely by virtue of her calling in life. Excellence depends on how well you discharge your duty, rather than on how ‘exalted’ a duty you have been called to discharge. This brings to mind the significance of swadharma - one’s native calling - in life.
Dwelling on this point, Krishna declares: “One’s own dharma, though imperfect, is better than the dharma of another well discharged... Full of fear is the dharma of another.” (Bhagavad Gita, III.35).
Illustrating the truth of this verse, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa observes that “A
professional farmer does not lose courage and he continues to cultivate even if there be a terrible drought for 12 long years. But a weaver who takes to tilling for a change of occupation gets disheartened if rain fails for one season.”
An actor in a play conforms to the script, which represents the will of the author-playwright, just as a person in life should surrender to the will of God. Such surrender is the supreme act of religion, according to Islam. Likewise, “Thy will be done, O Lord!” is the essence of the Christian’s daily prayer. We should accept the will of God, whatever it be, with an humble ‘Amen’.
Actors on the stage may fight, kill or love, but nothing disturbs their deeper mental state. They never forget that it is a play after all, and that they are simply and faithfully enacting the author’s script. They remain detached always. This is equilibrium born of knowledge. How would a person be, if she successfully adopts this condition of equilibrium in actual life?
The Lord says: “He who is the same to foe and friend and also in honour and dishonour, who is the same in cold and heat, in pleasure and pain, who is free from attachment, to whom censure and praise are equal, who is silent - uncomplaining - content with anything, homeless, steady-minded, full of devotion - that man is dear to me.” (Gita, XII.18-19).
The essence of the teaching of the Gita is to transform karma into karma yoga: to be active in body but detached in mind. This, in fact, is how any good actor conducts herself on stage.

Your question makes no sense, you obviously don't understand Karma...
Karma is your life force, what a Christian would call a soul, and other things as well. It is the force that causes "cause and effect" to work and keeps a little ledger of what is due to you...
So basically you've asked me "How many of you consider Soul superior the the religion"...
This is a ridiculous question.

Karma are your actions in this world. My idea is this. All the problem arises when your Karma & Religion is separated. religion means not just going to Mosque on fridays or to temples on some noble times or to churches on sundays. Religion as per Islam means Peace attained by Total Submission to the Almighty God. This can be attained by your mind which will eventually drive all your karma with this God's Fearing as the basic criteria. Karma needs to be controlled in every aspect of our life. Even when we are walking on a road side or using the wash room or any where in our normal life, man needs to be controlled. The best control is from his ownself. His own mind should control his behaviour. This can be done only in the Name of God & Religion. Finally whether he is rich or poor, if he is white or black, whatever he is, he can live in Peace of Mind only by Total Submission of himself to the Will of Almighty God. This can be done by controlling himself. One man cant control another, Why do we have brakes in all the automobiles. To control the vehicle we need them. Same applicable for man also.
Read Quran with open mind to know more about Karma. Donot assume something about Islam seeing the muslims living today.

Many people make the error that karma = what goes around comes around. That is not the intent.
Many people also judge others' characters by their own biases.
See the following links for information about how people think about other people's life choice consequences and their own life choice consequences.

Closely related is the biblical passages referring to sowing of seads and reaping harvests. This refers to the building of character by the lifestyle choices a person makes. It refers to a long process rather than a knee-jerk WGACA reaction to temporary lapses in judgement and a poor choice (although some poor choices can have serious and lasting effects immediately).
Some points to ponder:
Seeds germinate into the plant like the one the seed came from. Tomatoes do not grow on apple trees. (Genesis 1:11 - And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.)
The harvest comes at a later date than the planting.
The fruit grows after a season of maturing of the plant.

If you're talking about religion, if you ask 1,000 people maybe you'll get 2,000 answers! Personally I don't believe in Karma. What I believe, God is good, He created us the same (even though w/different circumstances, place, environment, for what? to mold us to a better being). And remember, regardless, the circumstances we are in today, they are temporary, we live only temporarily in this world. what matter is where would you be when you died? And how many good deed can you do to go where you want to go when you die? Karma, I don't think its matter to answer that questions. Peace and spread LOVE

That which keeps an individual imprisoned by the transmigratory cycle is
karma, which means “action” or “deed” in Pali. It refers to the chain of causes
and necessary consequences in the world of human actions. Every action inevitably
has its effect, and traces of these effects can last over several lifetimes. A good action
brings joy; a bad action brings sorrow. And the consequences of actions build
up over a lifetime and through multiple lifetimes. It is these residues that will help
determine the quality of the next reincarnation. Despite the fact that humans
create their own limitations through their choices of actions and motives, they
nonetheless have the power to continue to choose or to resist falling victim to selfish
desires. Building up good karma and reducing bad karma may eventually lead a
person to escape the bondage of karma altogether by surrender to God and the liberation
of enlightenment.

when we are born we are free, only after birth we are defined by religion, but karma is always superior than religion as what we do is more important than which religion we belong to,hence do your karma & leave the rest to God

The knowledgeable. they'd call it lies or fantasy. Karma is authentic notwithstanding, it truly is only planting seeds, what they don't allow you to recognize notwithstanding is in case you want to plant good seeds that provide upward thrust to pleasing advance then you honestly're the single considered incorrect. people love weeds and thorny issues i assume. i wager they don't teach you that in karma college. A truth, you're a residing soul, it grow to be made alive by using the spirit, the spirit is what god is really made from, notwithstanding, we are certainly mortal, yet wager what, the spirit can make you stay back.
