Even though I am not atheist, my views on the war in Iraq is that we have no business in placing our beliefs and views on others.
The experiences occurring over in Iraq is supporting this statement.
So typical of the lies and deceit that is being presented by the so called elected officials.

There was no political, ethical, religious, moral, or strategic justificaiton for it from the start. The economic justricifation won out ( no, not for the country as an whole, for those individuals who's pockets it would line).
Now, once in we ought not to pull right out. We broke it, we have a duty to fix it.
Of course the blame should fall where it belongs, on Osama's favorite recruiter George The Lesser. If he never faces the justice he should in court of men, then he makes me hope you theists are right so that he will get justice the next world.

I'm still puzzled as to how it's supported when we've yet to receive a legitimate reason for going there... I mean I'm all for anti-terror, sure, why not? But Iraq was actually one of the few in the region preventing terrorism, didn't have WMDs, and weren't plotting anything. Saddam did have his war crimes against the kurds, but invading them for that would be like someone invading america for its WW II japanese internment camps of killing the native americans. Were we not in Iraq I might even support an invasion of Iran, I mean they are seriously posing a threat, and we'd have large Israeli support, but, of course, Iran is a democratic country already, so we'd lose a lot of our moral basis. (It's funny how invading them and converting them to democracy is good while friendly relations or invasion and conversion to communism never were.)

Completely against it. It sickens me that our soldiers are dying over there, and are continuing to die, because this President started a war that this country didn't even need. The sooner they all come home, the better. Unfortunately it doesn't look like that's going to happen during this administration, though.

Empire building disguised as anti-terrorism. Ill advised and badly bungled. The U.S. has blown $400 Billion on this adventurism so far and no end in sight. No sign of any return on that investment.

There is no single, unified Atheist voice. It's not like we have an atheist denomination with a pope of atheism. Some atheist think that the war is justified, others do not.

It's a criminal act committed by the American government and supported by the American people through the ballot box in the 2004 election. A very bad idea indeed. The Bush regime should face war crimes charges.
It is just one more proof there is no god.

it should have never of happened, no offense people but most of the Iraqi people are barbaric ad have no moral, they have no sense in politics and are not interested in to it, they just believe in preying to their God every day. they needed a leader like sudam as he kept them in order Even if he did do some wrong even if he did do some really horrible things. look at there country now it's worse off then it was.

It was wrong from the start. But now such a quagmire it's hard to imagine the results if it's stopped before victory.
