If you are breastfeeding what you are feeling could possibly be milk ducts. If they are tender and you have red hot spots on your breasts (latching would be painful as well) it could be that you have clogged milk ducts. A clogged milk duct can turn to mastitis and has to be cured with antibiotics.

To rule out anything else or to put your mind at ease I would call the Dr. and make an appt.

probably not problematic, but get it checked out by a doctor, because that's the only way to know for sure. Also, if you have a gut feeling that there's something wrong and the doctor says there's nothing wrong, go to another one, and another one, and find out if that's really true. sounds like plugged milk ducts,but i do suggest to get it checked out by your doctor( but untill then a damp warm cloth on your breast will feel great)...good luck
