Yes! I'm 5ft2 and a US size 8/UK size 12, I'm just average size, so you have got to look very thin. HTH : )

It all depends on what you consider thin. At 5'8" you are dependent on the size 12/8 for your height. I am a size 2 in the US and 5'5" and yes I am thin but I have friends that are 5'8" and 5'9" and they are anywhere from an 8 to 12 US and to be honest they look just as thin as I do.

In the UK anything over a size 6 is considered fat.

No that is average. Thin is size 8/10 (uk),medium is 12/14 and fat is 16/18.

I would say you are slim not thin. Much smaller and you'd be considered thin,not an attractive look.

I'd say so. The weight would be of interest; with those dimensions, normal weight would be 130-140 pounds.

Although 5'8" is tall, you are not skinny, slim, slender or thin. You have an average to slightly large build.
