I say this based on my own life observations. As a toddler, my mom and dad instilled strong religious values in me: I was shown the path to kindness, self-sacrifice and nobility. Schools and colleges - principals and teachers went overboard to lecture on "values", "principles" and "goodness" - I was a brilliant student and somehow took it all as gospel advice without question. I always felt this was the way of life for me, and "everyone".
But, not all was well. There was always financial problems in my family: I could never afford the bike or fancy gadget that my friend did. As I grew up, I never was able to date the girls I fancied in college - (none of them cared to see the nice person in me but only my poor status). When I graduated and joined a big IT company, the first time I hoped my life would take a turn for the better and I would realize all my minimum desires. But, that was not to be because corporate culture always penalizes "good" people - I lost my job to outsourcing!!

The only reason I was “good” because I had a strong belief in “God” – but hey, I was losing, and I didn’t wanted to be a loser. So, after being fired from office, I decided to start my own online vendor office in software installations – I stopped “praying” – forgot all “principles” and “values” and I do believe in hard work, so I am doing much better now. I started associating with images of wickedness, corruption and brutality and somehow, my life has taken a turn for the better. I am even being recalled by friends who always put me down. And in no time, I would be able to date the girls I want – with added money power.
If I ever have kids, I won’t give him/her the Bible.

While I will certainly say that the bible does not teach or reward prosperity, I don't think brutality is the way to go either. I think you can't go wrong treating people the way you want to be treated - fairly and with respect. Align yourself with the strong and the prosperous. What you dwell upon in your heart and mind is what comes to you in life - that has been my experience.
Peace!
PS - downsizing and outsourcing was the best thing that could have happened to me. I got unemployment benefits for long enough that I could establish my own business and I have never looked back. Many of the people I worked with will never really walk in the sun.

God is the creator of universe and has defined every minute law that applies here. It is these laws that define how one can be successfull within a lifetime inside this universe. You already have said that you started working hard and that changed the things.
As per evil being stronger than God, NO! that is not possible. Nothing from inside the universe can be stronger than the entity that created the universe from outside of it and defined the rules in the first place. Vause that entity has the power to modify anything, anylaw, anytime.
And always remember that the re-boot switch of a computer is always outside the box. Software applications may corrupt the operating system but cannot stop somebody from pressing that button.

This is sad. All satan has to offer is lies and this kind of stuff for such a short time. I promise it will not last. I grew up as a catholic, and had lots of friends, ones who taught me to get high and party. I even started to sell pot when I was in my 20's because I though it was fun and cool and I had lots of money. I married a dealer and hung out in biker bars. This only lasted for a short time. Why, because I did not have God in my life. I later got into wicca and all sorts of other bad stuff. This is what satan loves, although he hates us with a passion. I decided that this was not what I wanted in life. I walked away from my past life and am now a born again Christian. Although I don't have all the same friends I had before, I have alot of new ones who are also walking with the Lord. Most of the friends I had previously are either in prison or dead, or still around with nothing left and an empty life of sorrow. This is all fortune will bring you in the end, plus a place in hell if you die without Jesus. I hope you won't make this mistake. I know your life and money is probobly ligit, but it still ends the same way. You will get older and you know what that does to all of us. Then women will only want you for your money. Is this really the kind of love you want in your life. If yes, I guess I am sorry I said anything. if not, I hope you will find salvation through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not man that will give you everlasting life. Only God can give you that through Jesus. I hope you will choose God and good.

If God didn't allow us to go through rough times how would we ever relate to those who are going through the same thing. Sympathy and empathy are so very different in my opinion.
Being a Christian isn't about what God can do for us, but what we can do for God. God made the biggest sacrifice by sending Jesus to die in our place. He could've just wiped out the earth again like he did during Noah's day.
If you haven't read the book of Job, I suggest you take a peek at it. Check the link out at the bottom to learn more about Job.
The shortened version is that Job actually was very Godly, prosperous, and had a large family. The devil went before God and said the only reason Job was such a loyal servant was because he had so many blessings in his life. Satan told God if you take those things away and he'll curse you. So God let SATAN do his best at taking Job away from Him. Job lost all he had, but still held onto his love and faith in the Lord. It was definitely hard at times, but he did it. In the end, Job proved he was a true servant of God and had all of his things restored TWICE as much. He remained steadfast in his service to God.
The point is that satan himself can be very responsible for the hard times you've had. Satan attacked you and brought you misfortune so you would turn your back on God. Now that you've turned your back on God, things will get easier for you. Satan wanted to break you. It's never too late though, the wonderful thing about God is that he's forgiving and ever waiting for a restored relationship.

"Good" and "evil" are adjectives, not nouns.
You whine about "bad things" happening in your life? Deal with it.
Life is what happens when you were making other plans. I rarely get what I want but I don't whine. Why? Because I work hard to get more than enough of what I need to get by.
I don't cry myself to sleep at night because I'm not as wealthy as Bill Gates. I go to bed in a warm apartment with a full stomach and a sizeable bank account because I slog all day instead of waiting for a handout. And when life threw me a curveball (going broke) I dealt with it and carried on.
That's what most people do: they take what they have and do the best they can instead of waiting for someone to save them. Try it sometime.

...kinda thought God allowed satan to rule the earth.......maybe that's why you feel there's a stronger force. To answer your question....NO. This is way to complicated to explain my opinion. Basically satan has reign of the world because God allowed him this.....hear that?....God "allowed" him. God is a stronger force. I agree "good" gets criticized and seems to come up short when it comes to "evilness." There isn't much "good" in this world, pretty much everything is linked to sinful ways. That's the beauty of free will, and also the demise as well..........we can choose. Unfortunately, we are all sinners and evil temptations that satan gets to impose are harder to resist because we get extrinsic rewards for the evilness, and usually only intrinsic rewards for "goodness" Would you rather get a million dollars for an act of kindness, or a thank you card?? I'd like to have the million, but we shouldn't be so greedy as to "want" that.......it's just our nature as humans. Don't know if this even came close to an answer for you. Nice guys finish last.....but they'll always be remembered as nice guys. Your fortune in heaven isn't going to be based on your fortune here on earth, rather your witness, morals, and willing to follow what was asked of you. Hard to achieve high standards in these areas in a dog eat dog world, but your fortune isn't going to be here.

Neither is. The CREATOR OF ALL THINGS made their souls the same way yours was made from its own body.
So I would say from personal experience that most of the problems you have encountered are those of your own making. Also the uncertain times of change we are living in.
A strict adherence to one religious view can be a determent to your over all growth.
Not to offend or be sarcastic. God helps those who help themselves. In other words . if you put forth your realistic half of the efforts . God will put forth Its half of the effort.

God is eternal, Satan is a created being that had a beginning, obviously God is more powerful.
It is a natural tendency for us to lean toward evil rather than good because all humans are inherently evil.
Fight the good fight.

It is funny, because why would believing in God have anything to do with success in this world. We, as Christians, are not of this world, but only in this world...hence my name...visitorparkingonly! God never says "follow me and I'll make you earthly rich beyond your wildest dreams." He says, "I'll always make sure you have all that you need, and one day you will be richly blessed!" Thanks for the story though. Just know that before it's all over...every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
