I have 2 USB ports. My motherboard info says it is capable of USB 2. When I use the USB port to download, VHS tapes via DVD Express, a pop up says I will have better results using USB 2. I hunted up the driver from the internet, installed it. Rebooted to make sure everything was registered. Same little pop up. So how do I know which drivers is actualy there?

the USB root hub is telling you that you could be using USB 2.0 but the device that you are using only supports USB 1.x

it's basically telling you that by using a USB 1.x device that you are not taking advantage of USB 2.0

You might not have USB 2.0 enabled in your bios. Some bios makers are goofy like that as USB 2.0 is backward compatible with USB 1.1.
