Age knows no boundaries, the law does however.
My sister married a man who has a son 1 month younger than she is and the guy she married is absolutely terrific to her...
I say if it's legal and Love....Go for it. Society frowns on so many things. Yet, it does get over it...

One first of all must be old enough to really know what love between two adults really means. The problem with great age differences is that usually there is a difference in likes and dislikes as far as intertainment goes. Sometimes talking about life experiences can be awkward. When I talk about how the death of John Lennon, Pres. Kennedy , the war in Vietnam, man on the moon, listening to the oldies etc. someone younger just does not get it. The older person may enjoy staying at home more than the younger. Between adults love has no boundaries. Making a relationship work under these conditions can be a challenge but not impossible. Howevery it is often improbable. There are exceptions to every rule. Mostly people just like to gossip.

I relate to the problem. I am 35 and pursuing a 21-year old woman. I wouldn't even have taken a second look at her, except that I was able to get to know her and discover a lot of common interests and that we have similar attitudes and responses to situations. I may have noticed her because she's pretty, but it was her character and personality that really captured my heart.
So, no, I don't believe for a moment that love knows age. People criticise, but what do the critics really know? I suspect many of the nay-sayers are just jealous.
On the other hand, when one of the partners is really immature relative to the other, that should be recognized as a sign of danger. The maturity difference is necessarily much larger between a 15 and 12 year old than between a 25 and 22 year old. The potential for abuse between wildly different maturity levels is really huge. You have to ask whether it's really love between two people when the difference is in maturity rather than age.

I think age matters in some cases. Like the 30 yr old with the 52 yrs old and the 40 yr old with the 70 yr old.. I don't think these people will have much in common.. and if you think about having children..

Coming from a 16 year old, I don't think LOVE should be limited by someones age at all.
When I was 14 I was together with a 9 year old. People thought it was weird but I didn't see anything wrong with it.

When something is not "average", people notice it. So a fat guy and a skinny girl are noticed and also the opposite. Black and white, old and young. There is nothing "wrong" with these, if the couple loves each other. They are just less common combinations that two similar people in age, race and appearance.

Younger people will strive for more secure and mature relationships.
Older people are looking for something that will give them satisfaction.
Love does not know age. People do.
