We all live in communities...they're essential to the way humans live.
We should encourage local communities instead of globalisations. We cannot rely just on the rice coming from the US. We have to be able to take care of ourselves locally and maybe by doing that we will have more respect for the people around us rather than exploit people far away. by doing that we start to look more closely at our environment. and if everyone took good care of their local environment than the world would be a different.

NB. Personally I do not support the concept of 'respect' (as used in today's PC way).
Uncritical 'Respect' leads to things like child mutilation (female castration) and Suicide Bombers ... you should take they time to understand others beliefs and ways of life and then choose to embrace, ignore or oppose them.
