he says he wants me to be happy but doesn't care if I get off work early or late. I told him I like it when he gets off work early because I get to see him sooner. This hurts my feelings. Am I being dumb?

I think there needs to be a little bit more depth to the "boyfriend not caring" argument.
Some times people like being at work because its a fun atmosphere and because of the people they get to hang out with. Some times its because they cant get out early.

no not at all, ur have a such kind man with u, man like him may not feel the suitable time spent, may something they want bettr for ur bennifit or life, they are caring personalty, u have to sit and give ur kind request..as u do it daily . he will be back as early as he could only for u.but sometime u cant be so selfish to persuade to follow ur word, give him the reason why u want so.make him understand mentally and by heart,the unconditional love is when u forgive him off his mistakes, so help him to understand u .

from the sounds of it, this is a relativly new relationship. your not being dumb, i think that maybe you are just looking into it to deep. it probably has nothing to do with not wanting to see you, it is healthy for a relationship to have your fair share of time apart. guys are not mind readers either, and chances are he doesnt even know he is doing anything to hurt your feelings, the best thing you can do for your own peace of mind is be up front and talk to him about it.

well maybe he is go a weird way of expressing his feelings..girls prob get more worked up over things then guys do..dont take it to personal. Ask him why he dosent care if you get off of work eariler. Best of luck

trust me he'll care.. if u make it a habit to come home late he'll begin to miss u ... and wat he means by he wants u to be happy is that watever will make u happy (coming home early or late) will make him happy and that is hard to find... a guy that wants u to be happy. Mabe u should talk to him about it too...
