I am trying to email a video from a cam but am unable to because the file is to big and i have no idea how to compress to be able to send it on yahoo mail

avi covers a whole bunch of codecs but generaly speaking DIVx makes the smallest files - you may be better off splitting it - or hosting in on youtube or some online storage sitea and just posting the link

Go to blazemp.com and download their trial. It can edit, convert and compress audio and video files.

avi is already compressed file so you cant compress it but you can small its pixels using an editor program like movie maker.
