Dear Father, I pray to you today that you touch the heart and soul of Patricia K., ease her pain, lift her on high and wrap her in the glory of your love.
Amen

You did not say physical or emotional pain so probably you are referring to a bit of both.
I have been in pain most of the time in my lower back for 25+years and I have been depressed sometimes worse sometimes better (kinda also goes with the back pain for longer than that.
I have even attempted suicide (not well done however unless I succeeded and this is hell)
I have in vision gone to the gates of hell but they would not let me in.
I have been down the tunnel of light (although it was apparently a dream it seemed real enough). While at the other end I was told I could stay yet I came back and now know I wanted to because I had things to do here. Most of them I still don't know.
Yet as I know where I will do no matter how I choose to leave here and I know I have a place with my Elohim I find it easier to resist the urge to end my sojourn here by suicide. Funny thing that. I know where I will go without a doubt and I am anxious to go there but that knowledge helps me cope from day to day. Wonder about that.
Yes I have prayed for you while typing this message.

Though it otherwise violates my beliefs, I shall pray to Yaweh that your spelling and grammar improve. I would hate for your last written words on this planet to be in such a state. See the listed source for more help with your problem.
On a more serious note, yeah, a sense of humor is a good thing to keep, there's pleanty of little tricks to help you keep your perspective. Both mental and physical pain are only little illusions caused by chemicals in your brain, they will be gone when your brain decides to make better, less annoying chemicals, this chemical production will happen eventually as after enough time has passed (though it can be long) your brain simply will get tired of making all these damn painful chemicals. Also, really, it helps to look at life as one big game, don't take anything too seriously, and remember, if you die now, you lose the game pretty horribly compared to quite a few people... I mean come on, you're going to let Carrot Top beat you in something no more serious than a game of scrabble?...
PS: @taff3, somehow I might be worried if she were going through something that was part of becoming a man.

Patricia, a few years ago I felt that way, and I don't know what made me do it, but I got the phone number of a local church. I had never been there before, but it was a big church, so I remembered the name of it, which is how I could get the number from information. Anyway, I called and asked if they had a minister I could talk to, and to make a long story very short, it helped. A lot. I never met the pastor I talked to, but he made quite a difference that day. Give God a chance to help you by reaching out for help. People are God's ambassadors here on earth, but if no one knows you need help, no one can help you. Believe me, there are lots of people in the world who care about you. You just have to reach out. I will pray for you.

Pain is only a state of mind. Life is a journey. You need to do the things you want to do to make it worth while. All the praying in the world will not help you full fill your dreams or make you a happy person. You have to get out there and make things happen. If you believe in God then go enjoy the world he created for you. Have some fun. And phone a hot-line. Suicide is a cowardly, selfish act.

I will agree with you that as a lively stone you will stand, against the wiles of the devil, and that you will not harden your heart but will hold fast unto the end. Amen
1 Peter 2:5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
Hebrews 3:6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

God is there even when it doesnt fell like it. When I have gone through painful times (loss of a child, etc.), I used Third Days song "When the Rain Comes" to remember him during those times.
The lyrics say... I can't stop the rain from falling down on you... but I can hold you till it goes away. I put the song on and imagine it is as if it were God's words of comfort to me during the rough time.
If you can't manage your suicide thoughts and think you might act, go to an ER or call a suicide hotline.

I pray that God is your refuge and strength and a very present help in trouble (Ps 46:1). That you be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God; and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Phil 4:6,7). That the God of peace fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Rom 15:13). That Jesus has borne your griefs, And carried your sorrows, And was wounded for your transgressions, And was bruised for your iniquities; The chastisement for your peace was upon Him, And by His stripes you are healed (Isa 53:4,5). You shall not die, but live and declare the works of the Lord (Ps118:17) Shalom! Amen!

My brother committed suicide in Feb 06 and it devastated our family. I know that your pain is great because I have fought with suicidal thoughts and urges myself. I was once bed ridden for 3 weeks fighting off the evil thoughts that were pushing me to end my life. After my brother died, I wanted to kill myself again but I knew that my family, especially my mother, would not be able to bear it. Everytime the urges came I would experience this unbearable tension throughout my entire body and eventually breakdown crying. But don't give in. The devil will only attack you in this way if he knows that your life is important and sees something in you that is special. The devil sees that God is preparing to do great things with your life. Don't let him win and don't let him destroy you.
Here is what helped me:
1. Gosepl music. Play it loud and all day if you need to. Anything praising God will usually push evil spirits away.
2.I would repeat and pray: Heavenly Almighty Father, God of gods, Father of Jesus Christ have mercy on me and remove these evil spirits far from my mind, body, soul, and spirit. Please do not let them have dominion or influence over my mind, body, or emotions. I don't want to follow any of their evil ways. Please place my life and my spirit within your hands and guide my life away from evil. Amen.
Keep praying and don't give up. I know people will say that medicine is the answer and if it will help you temporarily, then use it. But you can't truly solve spiritual problems with physical solutions. Continue to seek God. It can be painful right now but I can testify that the end result is wonderful and it won't always be like this. You will hardly be able to remember what the pain felt like.

I feel like it sometimes too. I do know this, if somebody does commit suicide whether you are a christian or not you will 100% end up in Hell. You have to ask yourself is it worth the risk. Hell is for a long time, and then the lake of fire at Judgement. I an glad I did not commit suicide as I probably would have ended up burning in Hell with all the damed. In God's commandments it says thou shall not murder. It will be hard to repent if you do, as it will be too late, unless God gives you a second chance which he has done with other people who tried suicide and failed. A true story I heard was about a christian women who did commit suicide and ended up in hell. She described the shear torment and the torment of the souls that are there at the moment. Jesus appeared to her and asked her if that is what she really wants. She said no. Jesus did give her another chance. It does not mean Jesus will give you another chance. Do not risk it. Hell is real. The way this world is going the rapture will not be too far away. Try hanging in there. Jesus said those that stand firm the the end will be saved. Lay every burden down to Jesus. He is the only one that understands. Ask yourself this. Who do you want to please Satan or Jesus? If you commit suicide you are pleasing Satan. If you want to live for Jesus, you cannot live for Jesus in HELL. You have a chance to love him here and in eternity. You cannot have a relationship with him in Hell. Yes this life is hard and this world is getting worse, because Satan and his evil angels are getting desperate because they know the end is near and they have a short time left and want to drag as many down with them as possible. Satan is a thief, and is trying to steal you life. Jesus said he comes to kill. steal and destroy. If you want to love Jesus together and till him that he is so worth it, as none compares to him ever. my e mail address is jesusisahoney@yahoo.com.au. Let us together tell Jesus how much we love him and adore him. Leanne
