Because there is BIG money in it.. It is BIG Business. Priests are paid per their education plus the amount of money they bring into the church. They sit down and negotiate contracts for wages and parishes for advancements.
Therefore the preacher that "sells" the most religion gets the best jobs and lives in the better homes. Even that is part of the negotiations...
LOL.. It is a business and they are smart enough to get all these people who give them 10 % of everything they have...
LOL... go figure

It is part of their religious philosophy to do so. Particularly notorious in this respect are Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons. I have compiled a list of errors in the Book of Mormon to give to the next Mormons who show up on my doorstep.

Muhammad instructed that muslims should profit from their religion. He told them to make non muslims pay if they live where muslims rule. Muhammad sold islam, and that is why muslims still try to profit just like the man we call a prophet did when he first sold islam to the arabs who alreadt worshipped moon god allah.
