That is a very selfish question. Birth control is not 100% effective. Also, it does NOT protect against STDs. So even though you are "each others' firsts," that doesn't mean one of you might slip up and find yourself with another sexual partner.
Your girlfriend is just being safe, cautious, and responsible. You should be thankful because I guarantee you'll wish you DID wear a condom if you end up with a baby.

Hey! Birth control is NOT 100%. I have 4 kids... Guess what? I was taking birth control when I became pregnant with the first. She is very smart and to respect her, and be responsible, wear the condoms! Don't become parents until marriage blah blah blah.......
:o) Be safe!

Because in 2007, it's always SMART to use a condom, even if she's on birth control. Unless you think it might be fun to have an STD, get into the habit NOW.

Birth control, if you're referring to The Pill, isn't 100% effective. She's smart to have you wear a condom.

You might know that. But how exactly is she supposed to know that? People do lie about sexual experiences. The practice is not uncommon.
I am only guessing at this, but lying about one's sex experience is probably the most common lie told in the world, end of sentence period.
If it isn't the most common lie told it is certainly up there with the most common lie told.
And now there is AIDS also various forms of the older STDs like gonorrhea and syphilis, just to name the most common, leave us not forget Herpes which is another sexually transmitted disease, also hepatitis C, very deadly, no cure, just takes longer than AIDS to develop or even be detectable.
And there are other ways to spread these same diseases, AIDS is thought to have come into the human population by the practice in African sub-saharan tribes of merely drying meat instead of thoroughly cooking it. Blood transfusions and infected needles, tattoo needles, piercing needles, and shaving implements can also vector the virus.
And the same with Hepatitis C. Which is just as terminal, just as incurable, just as fatal but even easier to transmit. Hep C can be transmitted through eating utensils. And sometimes doesn't show up on tests for years after the initial infection.
The bacterial diseases like gonorrhea and syphilis are now becoming immune to antibiotics. Seems there have been no new antibiotics added in decades.
Congratulate your woman, she is very wise. Thank God every day that you have found somebody that smart.
Oh and before I forget, pregnancy isn't absolutely prevented by any method other than complete abstinence. Which doesn't happen very often.
A bonus answer, there are other hygeine risks to a woman from unprotected sex, yeast infections come to mind. Yeast is a fungus, and there is no way in hell you are going to sterilize your penis without harming yourself. And there are other fungi that can be transmitted that way. For a woman something as simple as failure to maintain basic hygeine for a day or two would raise the risks of those types of infections.
Your woman obviously cares at least that much for herself, and therefore you into the bargain.
If you are ever dumb enough to leave her, this suggestion: if you have a partner who DOESN"T insist on such protection, RUN!

Because pills are not always affected theres always a chance where she could get pregnant. This could prevent STD'S. Don't come crying when she becomes pregnant. Because sometimes we forget to take our pill and just to be in the safe side it's always better to have plan B. If not theres birth control for men, your welcome to take some responsibility for once.

If you are complaining about having to use a condom then you are obviously not mature enough to be having sex in the first place
