Hey it does not cook your insides, but i would never use a tanning bed. Stay in there long enough, your might get skin cancer. I suggest tanning the old fashion way, Lay in the REAL sun.

No but it is true that it is worse ultraviolet rays inside a tanning bed than out in the sunshine.... that is a secret well kept.. next time lay in the sun and love that up instead.... it is dangerous to be in a tanning bed these days... ALSO skin cancer is said to be up for women from ages 25 to 35. Ouch.

Don't listen to that guy. No, tanning beds are ultra-violent light, the kind like the sun, but is artificial. However, if not used wisely and not too often, people have been known to get skin cancer. So be careful and don't be habitual with it. Microwave's cook from the inside out.

Totally false! Mythbusters busted that a while back (I've put the episode below) and it isn't possible. :)

Episode 4: Penny Drop, Deadly Microwaves, Radio Tooth Fillings
Can pennies from heaven kill? Or, more specifically, can a penny dropped from a skyscraper kill a pedestrian on the sidewalk below? Jamie and Adam take the challenge, hopefully without deadly results. Speaking of fatal fallacies, is it possible to literally bake yourself on a tanning bed from the inside out? The guys also investigate the claim that Lucille Ball exposed a Japanese spy ring by listening to radio signals transmitted by her tooth fillings. Hmmm ...

If you lay in one long enough, your skin would be quite well done, but your insides still very rare.
Whether at a tanning salon, or under the sun, use caution and sunscreen to take care of your skin. There can be too much of a good thing, in this case.

A woman wanting a dark tan immediately went to several tanning salons (five or more) and was found dead the next day. You decide.
