If the only reason is the type of Spanish you want to learn, Mexico is better because it's Spanish is more similar to almost all the rest of Latin American Spanish and to the Spanish talked in Spain.

There are many more Spanish speaking countries like the DR and Spain, I guess it depends on what accent you like. I'd suggest trying to listen to the Mexicans and Argentinians somehow and see if there's a lot of differences and what you like better. Oh, and what you want to do in the country. Do you want to go to school or work or do aid work or hang out. So yeah, it all depends.

I think I'd choose Mexico. The Argentinian Spanish
uses some nonstandard forms(like vos for tu)
and also some Italian forms. That's not
to say that both countries don't have their
own slanguages, though!

Both have a very hard accent and can be recognized from miles, so I guess you should go wherever you think you will feel more comfortable.
I love you Mexicans (I have many friends) but sorry processor is NOT true you speak better Spanish.

you're making a faux distinction. Castilian Spanish is likewise spoken in Latin united states of america of america, no longer purely Spain. Castilian Spanish is without doubt one among the 5 languages of Spain. The others are Basque, Galician, Catalan, and Aranese. Castilian Spanish is the best nationwide language of Spain, and the single that unfold to Latin united states of america of america. in spite of the undeniable fact that there are some community variations between the Castilian of Spain and the Castilian of Latin united states of america of america, they are nonetheless a similar language.
