Pastor Billy says: very few Christians believe in this rapture trap theology. Rapture doctrine as proclaimed by the TV evangelical entertainers is less than 150 years old and really started to take off when an former-Anglican priest John Nelson Darby started to preach what is called dispensationalism theology to the Brethren a very very very small Protestant sect.
The reason this is thought of as a vast Christian belief today by non-Christians, secular atheists and so on is because it is given much air-time by the TV evangelists which are attempting to sale this theory of end-time events as authentic Christian belief.
Once again the Rapture is not a widely held Christian belief and no first Christians ever believed what these snake oil salesmen are now selling hence no disappoint. :)

I think you are going to be disappointed, because it will happen.
We just don't know exactly when, but we do know that wen it happens it wont be long till everything is going to BURN. (Except REAL Christians)
Am i trying to live a godly life? YES because : Without holiness no one will see the LORD.
Religion is not a big cheat. Even atheism is a religion because you have to BELIEVE there is no God.
AND WHAT IF THERE IS A GOD A HEAVEN AND HELL......
WHAT ARE YOU GONNA TELL HIM WEN HE SAYS TO YOU:
"DEPART FROM ME, I NEVER KNEW YOU" ?
Remember that nothing on earth can match the Joy of Heaven, so why would you want to spend ETERNITY in HELL????
This is for KEN:
The people of Rome ie. The Roman Catholic Church IS indeed a problem: If you truly believes what they teaches then you are NOT saved at all.
And yes, religion, or the Christian religion is not about helping the poor (ie. to get saved you must help the poor) but to OBEY God and His Commandments.

No, they would just think it hadn't happened yet ,most likely. You would not be the first to say that it seems like God is out to just take away our fun in life. Actually, I believe, he holds all the answers to life's biggest questions, and that he loves you more than anyone else could on this whole earth. There is some other reason, and its good, that he asks us to try to be holy, and do good to each other, etc. You know how parents know a thing or two more than their kids, and they share that with them. Even t hough the kids get angry sometimes, one day , they come to learn that the parents were in fact, totally right! They were not just out to take away their fun. The parents KNOW the pain, and have lived longer, and seen how things can turn out, and LOVE their kids too much to make the mistakes sometimes. Those very kids will scream they hate their parents, but they come around. God is kind of like that, only he loves us more than parents, and knows us better, and understands us better, and knows ALL, the past present and future and is looking out for us.
So no, religion, or the bible, or God, or take your pick, is not just a big cheat. There is just a lot more going on than you can grasp at the moment. It is too big for any of us. Take care.

The Rapture hasn't been coming for many years. Generations, really.
When it doesn't come, the Christian can shrug and say, "It's not time yet." Since a common belief is that the Rapture takes full effect even after the Christian is dead, he goes to the grave content that he'll be up and around soon enough.
Is religion a big cheat? Most religions are. The priests convince people that their religion is right, so they gain power and money.
But not all. Some people are simply deluded. They are very moral people. The catch is that they would be moral with or without a religion. But since they can attribute their morality to the religion, they feel that it works with everyone. The problem is that it doesn't.

The word rapture isn't stated interior the bible everywhere. It replaced into created with tips from John Nelson Darby. A English church minister. yet there's a biblical passage approximately it. a million Thessalonians 4:sixteen-17. And Jesus himself instructed his disciples that ought to ensue in direction of the tip of days. Wars, usa against countries, kingdom against kingdoms, famines, plagues and different chaotic issues. With the present chaos and anarchy that's happening like the ISIS terrorist team, the increasing persecuted Christians, US President Barack Obama no longer doing something approximately it. yet what i'm doing is praying. Praying that Obama could have a transformation of heart and shelter the insanity. And praying for international peace, the terrorist team and for my brothers and sisters in Christ. purely because of the fact there is unstoppable insanity, does no longer advise the tip is close to. bear in mind what Jesus stated in Matthew 24:36, "no one is familiar with the day or hour, no longer the angels, no longer the son yet purely the daddy." So i say, "permit God ascertain." no longer us.

Why just christians. All religions in one way or another have this belief of something bneyohd death.
It has taken hundreds and oven thousands of years for man to perfect the religious myth so it has become a very effective propaganda tool. Just look back in the past and see who was fighting with who. What was the reason given for the fighting.
Today the killing in Itraq is based on what? Not the USA at all.
Most people seem to have to have something other than themselves to believe in to give their lives meaning. Religion has used this need to a grat advantage of a few.
Have you ever thought about how the little nation inside of rome got so verry, verry wealthy. Who do you supose earned all that money they spend.
Another group that builds large very costly temples around the world also has to get all that money from some place.
Wats, or temples all over Asia and I do mean there are hundreds of thousands of them and sone one had to provide the money for their construction.
Religion is not about helping the poor it is about keeping the people poor.

People have been waiting for raptures, second comings, and Armageddon among many other things for centuries. And it just isn't going to happen. I know this because it wouldn't be fair. The religions that promise these things have a God who died for all the sins in the world. So what makes Jack more important then John? It's not so much a cheat as it is a waste of precious life.

When Jesus takes His church and takes peace(the Holy Ghost) from this world, you just keep on enjoying that great life of yours. Of course you will have to take the mark of the Beast to do it, but hey, you can't have it all, huh? For your information, just so you aren't deluded, loving and living for God is what makes my life vibrant and exciting. To think that I am miserable is a fool's thought. God blesses me, and there is an excitement in living each day to see what new and wondrous thing God will bring about. You are cheating yourself.
By the way - there is one "s" and two "p's" in disappointed.

I'm Catholic and I've never heard of anything called the "rapture". After looking into the topic I found out that this belief is not observed by all christians, only the protestants. The majority of Christianity consists of Catholics so to answer your question, technically, no I doubt most christians will be disappointed.
