I have tested epoxy/carbon fiber reinforced prototype drive shafts for automobiles. I ran cyclic torsion tests using dry ice to produce about -100F .. maybe a little lower. Temperature was never a problem. 4-inch shafts to about 1000 ft-lbs of torque.

depends on the force applied--- have had plastic reinforced parts in liquid nitrogen, with out a problem----but no force was being acted upon them.
