I don't know, but being at the age i am now of 21 the older i'm starting to get the more respect i'm losing for females around my age in general. By respect I mean that, while it seems like i'm sort of maturing, bettering myself, going to school, etc as time goes by they seem to be dumbing down and degrading themselves even more. The way they dress is ridiculous, it's one thing to do it when you're in you're in your teens but it's less and less "cute as i'm getting older and more just like a ridiculous cry for attention. And have you ever tried to talk to some of them, they're incapable of an intelligent conversation, they don't have much of a clue as to anything going on in the world, have a low vocab, and don't even seem to care about anyone else but themselves. All i'm saying is that it's impossible to FIND A LADY now a days. A LADY can be sexy as well as smart, not like msot of these bimbos running around. Too many girls wanting to be Britney Spears and Lidnsey Lohan, pathetic.

They're out there... you just have to be patient and keep looking. Don't lower your standards!! Things won't change unless young men like you make your wishes known... Why do you think girls act that way? Because that's what they're sold by the media... if you're cute and thin, you don't have to actually have a brain... When men start expressing a preference for women with intelligence and manners, a sense of modesty and respectability... well.. then maybe we'll see a change in the tides...

Good luck to you! If my niece was a few years younger, I'd set you up! You'd love her!

I have a suggestion perhaps you could meet some women that are going to school as well, at least then the maturity level would be around the same as you, because they are educating themselves trying to make it in this world, trying to find careers that would interest them. What are your interests outside of College/University/Trades Education? What do you like to do in your spare time? Perhaps you can meet some women that way, that are around your age.

I am glad that you feel you are maturing and bettering yourself as a person. I am 34 and out of your age range. I definitely don't want to be Britney Spears and Lindsey Lohan...I am me, myself and I. I am older yes, but I am not old. You feel as young as you feel.

I was a very mature 21 year old too. It was a beginning of a 10 year relationship with my ex. I had my own place, I was always working or going to school at that age. I care about myself, in a positive way. I care about my child as well. I am not hung up on myself, thinking the world revolves around me.
I have responsibilities, and I have had responsibilities since I moved out on my own when I turned 18.
There are women out there for you. You will find someone that shares your common interests. Good luck to you.

I think mostly it is the age you are and the girls. They are letting loose too much. These girls do not respect themselves. If they are trying to attract a man with their "sexiness" then that is what is important to them. If the are content with theirself, they can dress modestly and not worry about whether all the guys think they are hot. Girls show you with how they dress and act what is on the inside so be careful because most of the time, what you see is what you get.

The kind of girl you want will not stick out necessarily so you have to look a little harder and in the right places. Don't look for a lady in a bar or party, try Starbucks or Barnes & Noble, etc.

The younger you are the more susceptible to influences and peer pressure you are due to the fact that being isolated and rejected simply because of clothes or actions is not a good enough trade-off. MTV and Hollywood are another confirmation and/or root to what is dictated in the schools and homes nowadays and it is a very strong force to reckon with. So without the home laying a stronger foundation rooted in a belief that speaks to them throughout a youths encounters both from TV to school, the youth will be nothing but clones of society. When you ask them how they feel about a subject they end up sounding like a MISS AMERICA CONTESTANT. I have two sons and one share the same view as you...I believe that it simply means that you were destined to breakaway from foolishness faster than your peers to perform a calling on your life that will need a 'sound and much experienced mind'. You are one that is learning to put childish things aside. It also means that you are one to not be caught out of your season. I hope you know what I mean by that. In other words your wisdom is what they call somewhat beyond your years and your mate will be easier to find. Hope you stay picky because God has called you out from among them to be in this world but not of it.

It's hard at your age. The girls in that group you speak of are growing up. Not most guys have that attitude at your age either so good going. Yes alot of females tend to do what they feel will get them in the spot light of attention at any costs for the rat race, to later regret it more than likely. Just keep doing what your doing and you WILL find someone with a mature mind like yours. : )

So all women are like that? And you haven't seen men made a fool of themselves? You are just in your own little world!

If you want to find smart women, go and meet some of the women at The MITRE Corporation; you'll see engineers, scientists, doctors, etc. who work hard to make this world a safer place.

Hey, we're not all bad out there...

When I was your age, I was travelling back and forth from London, NYC and chicago for weekends and vacations. I had a decent government job, went to church and kept a group of close friends whom are fiercly intelligent (one is on her 2nd masters going to 1st phd)

Yes, there are some wannabees out there, but don't taint us all with the same brush.

BTW, I was snagged early too, married and settled now! LOL

Agreed! Just for the majority, not everyone.

The thing that bugs me most is the overly mature girls, who are better than you in every way because they're more "mature", and tell you what you're doing wrong, even if you're not, and always tell you you're being immature. But when they're being immature it's just "playing around".

You are very right about everything you said. Remember this, while they are out sitting in a bar, doing stupid stuff and getting used you will be set apart by the sincere men in the world and will find the Mr. Right while they are ending up with one night stands. Good for you to be unique.
