I know alot of people with the same problem. It is due to the rising or lowering of the barametric pressure in the air before it rains. The air is either heavier or lighter before it rains, and this pressure that it creates, causes people who have arthritis, old and current broken bones, or other old injuries to bones and joints, to experience pain in those areas. I have been predicting the weather for years, and nobody took me seriously. Until they realized that when I said it was going to rain it did in fact rain. Now I am their weather reporter...

It could be psychosomatic. There is some possibility that you are sensitive to atmospheric changes that result in the pain. It is possible that the minute pressure changes are affecting a nerve, and this causes the pain. It wouldn't take much, a small void at a nerve that expands or contracts putting pressure on a nerve. Finding it, however might not be cost effective.

normally it occurs when you have had some sort of injury to the a joint, or arthritis. a lot of times when the weather changes (especially when the temperature drops or before it rains/snows) people who have issues with there joints notice that they get a little achy/sore. when i asked a doctor about it he told me it's because of the change in pressure. there's generally fluid around the joints (especially if they're messed up) and the change in pressure affects that fluid causing the pain/soreness
