If she had a lump on her neck, it sounds like an infection. Please get her to another vet as soon as you can. You are doing the right thing by keeping her hydrated. Aslo keep her warm, as a chill can be very dangerous..I can't believe there is a vet out there who wouldn't have done SOMETHING...I would sure change vets, and quickly.
Puppies are very fragile, and you have to be aggressive with any illness.
Call first thing in the morning to all the vets in your area, even in the next nearest town, as most communities have a vet that stays open until noon on Saturdays.
You can use the Yahoo search, for veterinary clinics and your zip code.

Mix the puppy formula with Karo syrup. Put a tablespoon in about a 1/2 cup of formula.
She may have low blood sugar.
You're correct to keep her hydrated. Pedialyte is good if you can get some, but keep up with water.
See a different vet. Doctors don't know everything, and sometimes Parvo takes a little while to "show up". Another vet may have a better idea of what is going on.

at 9 weeks, you need to stop with the puppy formula and get you some pedialyte. She needs the electorlytes that are in it, and it will keep her hydrated which is most important. If she is stumbling around, and seems out of it, she may be suffering from hypoglycemia or low blood sugar (very possible if she isnt eating enough) You can use karo syrup or just plain table syrup if nothing else and syringe about 6cc every few hours into her. The metallic smell you are describing isnt good. If you smell it on the breath it usually means kidney failure. You need to keep her temperature up, because once hypoglycemia sets in then the pups temp will drop which is just as dangerous. Get yourself a heat lamp, heat pad, or portable heater to put near her and lots of blankets. You may want to put her in a box with a heat source nearby and blankets all around her. She needs to see a vet immediatley when you can, because the next step is shock which can be fatal to pups. Good luck!

Puppy mills are bad. Unscrupulous people wanting to make a profit without any thought to the suffering of the animal or you. She probably didn't get her proper shots or is poorly bred, if you wait for a new vet she could die. Look in the phone book and find one ASAP.

How are her gums? Are they white? I'm not a vet but I think she may have parvo. It targets puppies. Mine was about that old when she got it but we didnt know she had it untill it was to late. If they catch it soon enough then they can treat it. If not then it is fatal. If she starts to have diarreha then I would take her imediately to a vet. Most will come even if they are closed.

Hi, I'm so sorry about your puppy. I'm amazed your vet didn't give you a multi vitamin gel that comes in a tube. Has your puppy been checked for Distemper? I suggested you give her plenty of water perhaps change her milk . I hope you haven't sprayed her with flea spray or other agents for ticks. Has she had a blood test for Tifus fever? I wish your puppy a speedy recovery

sound like she needs to be seen by a vet as soon as possible. any emergency or 24 hours animal clinic by you. At nine weeks old she shouldn't need any milk. Try to keep her hydrated. but get her seen quickly

CARRIE, IF you've read this please reread it I've add to it.
I'm sorry to hear about your puppy. For I have four dogs. I know vet bills can be high. This can be many things I hope makes it to her vet appointment. My sisters dog had parvo and he could not keep anything down. He also had a fever which made him shake a lot. Your dog is eating so that would not worry me (YET)! Good luck and please let us know if she's ok.
CARRIE my sister said she received an email saying the swiffer sweeper mopping liquid is making dogs sick. Do you use it? If so stop!!
