everybody says it is the word of god but what they dont realize most gospels have differant versions of the same account, for example when Jesus rose from the dead some gospels say he was greeted by one angel another gospel says he was greeted by two angels another said he was just greated by mary, if it was written by the word of god wouldnt it cantain the truth of what happend and not several versions of one account, this is a perfect example of how stories get changed over time by man
so why believe in noahs arc? or why adam and eve? wouldnt you think it was stories to teach uneducated people of right and wrong, how would god tell the ancient people of evolution, it would be impossible

Every nation has its own version of the great flood. Although the story is colored to suit local taste and customs, still the basic premise remains.. there was a great flood. The same with the first couple Adam and Eve. They may be called by other names, but from the greatest civilization like Egypt, the Incas of Mexico or the dynasties that ruled China, their history book tells of how the earth's population was descended from one couple, man and woman. The same with Jesus as the savior and redeemer. The discrepancy in the gospel reporting could be attributed to the different writing styles of the people reporting the events, so a disciple who is a fisherman would write the gospel in the context of how simple people viewed the events as they unfold in the same way that a disciple who is a healer ( I think it is Luke ) will right from the viewpoint of medicine, concentrating perhaps on the curing of and healing miracles that Jesus performed. This should not detract from the truth being recorded. Just because Katie Couric reported on the Iraq War differently than Oreilly or some other network anchor doesn't mean that the event reported upon did not happen.. The Bible was written by men with divine inspiration coming from God. Compare it to the president of a big company dictating to a secretary a letter he wants to mail to a client. Although the secretary wrote the letter, you can't say she was the author of the letter because the idea contained therein isn't hers...

Don't you understand that the truths of the Bible are more true than reality?

The Bible attributes the writing of the Bible is attributed to men (including the second copy of the Ten Commandments), so if the Bible is the true word of God, a fatal paradox erupts.
