i got 4 premolars extracted for putting on braces.i am 16 yrs old.will my teeth become weak and fall in oldage due to this?

hi diane....did u ask u'r dentist whether extracrtion was mandatory for u or not??
orthodontics doesnt mean extraction of teeth to align the remaing teeth,aligning can also be done without extraction also and they r many procedures for it.always remember for any given patient after orthodontics ORAL HYGIENE maintainence is VERY imp,cos this treatment requires moving teeth from one position to a new desired one by the dr.If u do not wear u'r RETAINERS which u'r dr will give u AFTER the treatment u'r teeth might start shifting back to its original position and that might lead to some gum and bone problem which inturn leads to maaaaaaaaaany prob's v call that ORTHODONTIC RELAPSE.
All ways remeber teeth are not apples which might just fall out there something holding to it unless u wanna get rid of it or rather someone wanna get rid of it.....!!!

No diane they won't. The extractions were done to create space so that the remaining teeth can have enough space to be aligned well. The bone stay as long as u keep your teeth. Hope this helps,
