You'd have to pay me to take a Carnival cruise again, and I'd demand a suite. Their cruises are the cheapest for a reason. I've stayed at better motel 6s.
Royal Caribbean is a step up, but still not 'luxurious'.
Holland is a step up from that and they have some fabulous destinations.
Celebrity can be a blast if you are an active couple.
Princess tends to be a little older crowd. Not my scene.
NCL doesn't do it for me, either. I like the idea of freestyle dining, but I'm afraid of the kind of people that it attracts. (people who cant bother to dress up or aren't smart enough to figure out how dining on other cruises work).
Good luck to you and congrats on your engagement! : )

I was on a Carnival...and they gave away about $2,000 dollars worth of jewels to a honeymoon couple...a couple who won a "game" they had set up in the beginning of the cruise and at the end, the winning couple got the prize.
Have fun though and wish you the best!
iBtraveling.com has some great cruise deals...check them out. That's where I always find a good deal.

Princess Cruises. they offer very astounding and stylish ships, there are not as many little ones operating round and grow to be once in the T.V. sequence named 'The loved Boat'. it truly is likely the superb large cruise line for couples. in case you want more suitable luxurious, on smaller ships, i'd advise Seabourn Cruises. they have a fleet of luxurious yachts to many places in the international. i trust those cruises are more suitable severe priced, notwithstanding. i have been on the Emerald Princess earlier, and it truly is fairly good. they offer an excellent form of leisure and events. in case you're taking under consideration a Caribbean Cruise, you should %. an itinerary that forestalls at Princess Cays, in the Bahamas. Princess Cays is portion of an island owned by using Princess Cruises, and has white sand seashores, palm trees, and white sand seashores. you are able to lease one in all their multi-colored bungalows by using the sea coast for an afternoon, it truly is suitable for a pair on a honeymoon, or any vacation! have relaxing!

Why pick one?
When my wife and I got married, we did two back to back 7-day cruises...one on Carnival, one on Royal Caribbean. Carnival is livelier and more "fun", but there's a lot of children on Carnival's cruises (IMHO, kids don't belong in either Vegas or on cruises).

this is a time where alot of college kids are travelling, so i don't recommend carnival at all.
ncl is a great line. but i suppose you should think about where you want to go first. there aren't any bad cruise lines, so go by destinations first.
But the three i've been happiest with are ncl, princess and crystal.
good luck and congrats on your upcoming nuptuals
