The truth is you cant, you can move on and move past it and it wont be as hard I promise but it takes time and is a healing process. Often it would be easy to be able to forget but especially with good times those are things later you will cherish. hang in there and soon it will get easier and youll find you dont think of him as much. Also maybe try a new hobby, work out, do a ritual thing once a week, surround yourself with friends and people who love you. Sometimes it also helps to make a list of things you liked and things that you didnt and the causes of why it ended. Also its a good step and sign that you say you know you are both better off right there is an example of why it will be ok you recognize that there is someone better for you and this will make moving on easier .There is someone else out there, good luck hang in there and keep your head up. ( p.s. or try pampering yourself for a day )

First off, brilliant decision!

What I suggest is give yourself time, in a few months, you should feel a great deal better! Surround yourself with the best friends you've got, don't talk about him, and if you're thinking about him, put on some music and/or the television and start doing something such as reading or playing a game.

Most of all, think about how great life is! Look at the sky if you haven't recently, just lay in the grass on your back... Look at how beautiful the earth is... Trees swaying, birds singing, the diesel truck driving by, the smell of the noxious fumes... Oh, wait... (:
You'd be surprised of the things you take for granted!

I feel for you. All you can do is keep busy. Make a list of all the things you want to do, from house hold chores, boring paper work that has to be done, a new hobby that you have always wanted to do. Start a new exercise program. Start a journal (on line if you feel someone might read it) Write all your thoughts in the journal and then for get it. Writing will help you get all these feelings out and in the future when you read it you will see how far you have come. Under no circumstance see him again.

when u know that u r better off together then u should carry on ur decision. when a relation ispaiunful and beyond understandings then there's no use of carrying it. u j hav taken a right decision and now u try to be happy and engage urself in different types of task as studyin or other things, dont think about him u'll be totally out of it within 3-5 months

Hi

When you catch yourself thinking about him, say to yourself "Stop" (as corny as it sounds) then try to think of something you want to do in the future that has nothing to do with him or a man. Something you could do on your own and enjoy it.

It is so easy to start thinking about him and then thinking becomes obsessing. Try to stop yourself when you first start before you get too deep and depressed. Trust me, time will help. Tell yourself each day you make it is closer to feeling better. Feeling better comes slowly but surely.

good luck

They say that an idle mind is the devil's workshop. So in simpler terms, GET BUSY. Of course in constructive ways. The busier you are, the less time and/or effort you have to go around sulking. Plus, if you ended it because you realized what a loser he really was, you should give yourself more credit where credit is do.

Surround yourself with friends or family CONSTANTLY. Anytime that ure alone ure gonna think about him. That's how I got over my ex; I didn't let my best friend out of my sight and slowly I started to feel better and forget. WIthin the next couple months I was moved on.

Try doing all kinds of stuff that you never get to do when you were with him.
Immerse yourself in work so that time passes faster.
Get out there and socialize!! Make more friends.
It's probably not a good idea to rebound though. Might be unfair to you and the other party.

pretend that he did something bad to you. he would have ended up that way down the road ( i think). it will make so mad that you will not care. then avoid the places where he usually hangs out. you are a people person that loves to help others. unfortunately you get caught up in relationships that you cannot help. he is too sick. let him go. by the way i read you bio. you sound a lot like me. they broke the mold. but, i would love to have a friend like me. because i could trust them and laugh.
