I was given a little kitten for Christmas and turns out it had ringworm and now I have it on me. I took the kitty to the pound but now need to treat myself and clean my house of it, what do I use?

Ring worm is basically the same thing as athlete's foot, just on the skin, not actually a worm. I got ringworm in high school (being a wrestler), and I cleared it up by myself, by simple use of athlete's foot cream/spray. Also, to dry it up, I rubbed bleach on the area, and eventually after about a week, it was gone.
Granted, this is just what worked for me.
You can also see your doctor to prescribe medication for it, however, I think it would be a waste of money!

You don't need to treat your home, as Emily said it's a fungus, and it's passed from skin to skin.
Best way to get rid of is to scrub the infected skin area with Iodine solution, and then rob an anti fungal cream, the same used in Athlete's feet two to three times a day for about a week. Both are found over the counter.
Same treatment is used to treat cats/dogs. Sorry you took your kitten to the pound. It could have been easily saved!

Go to the store and get antifungal cream called Lamisil. Ringworm is a fungus and only grows on skin and is passed by skin to skin contact. Put it on and get rid of it!

Dial soap most drying....Wash yor bedding alot. Change your cloths alot....Call your Doc...

theres certain over the counter ointment.... when i got ring worm one time i used zap zit... the benzol peroxide in it killed it
