How do you use the Windows Media Player equalilizer?

Does anyone know which sliders control which instruments? I've wanted to know how to isolate the vocals or lead guitar or something in rock songs for some time now, but I cant seem to get it right. I have the new version (11). Thanks for any help.

As with most equalizers, the left side controls higher pitches and the right side controls the bass.

You have to experiment! That is the fun part.. There is no manual for it
