The best thing you can do for yourself is to implement exercise as well as eat a healthier diet. Current recommendations say you should do 30 minutes of cardio on most days of the week as well as replace some of the fat in your diet with other sources or nutrient dense foods such as fruits, vegetables, and low-fat carbohydrates. CARBS ARE ESSENTIAL IN ANY DIET! They provide energy for your body and are required for normal brain functions. That is why the Atkins Diet filed for bankruptcy! If you're trying to lose weight, it is not recommended to decrease your caloric intake by more that 500 calories a day. Keep in mind you need to work on your diet as well as exercise to maximize your results. Integrate an abdominal workout as well. You can't "spot reduce" fat on your body. Cardio is a necessity to burn overall body fat. Hope this helps, and good luck.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span.

Ahem, there are many many things you could do. Being an athlete, bleeehh, i know all the tricks. If you've ever heard of butt lifts do like 200 a day. They buuurn. About 500 crunches, run run run. No soda, no sweets, lots of water and protein. Watch out for carbs which means potatos and bread are also no nos. So, good luck. Swimming is good too, gives a nice little tone your bod.

rollerblading, cycling, cross country skiing, raquetball, jogging, tennis, rowing. forget about doing situps and crunches til you totally get rid of the layer of fat from your abs. only intense arobic calorie-burning activity will do this. worry about defining and shaping the abs after they become visible again. I just turned 30 myself and it seems i gotta work twice as hard as i did when i was 20 just to keep the fat off of the abs. I cut my beer intake WAY down. same as pizza, fries, all that good stuff! took up rowing and cross country skiing in the last few years. it really helps; gives an amazing workout.

Yea, you just described me too. It's TONS of exercise, like a treadmill or running and swimming and walking. You have to lose weight all over. It takes months, and it's hard to maintain.
