I would like to know how to find siblings that I have never met that were born in the state of Texas possibly in the 1970s, but not for sure. Both of my parents are deceased. After my father had died, family friends had told me that there was rumors that my mother had given birth to one or two other children before my parents had been together, and the family friends were not a 100% sure if this was true or not. My mother died before I knew her and my dad never even mention this to me. However, my grandma has passed on and I was never able to ask her about it (my grandpa had died a long time ago) and since then my mother's side of the family has cut contact off for no reason since her death. I guess what I am trying to find out is if this theory is acutally true. Can someone help me?

Hi there !!! I hope you find the answers you are looking for. Nothing is like wanting to know your relatives. It's like going on an adventure and you don't know what door to open. There are many ways to start looking: In my opinion, call your county department of records and ask them how to view the public records most cities have the same rules and regulations. They will help you start the search. Write down all the information you know first so you have it handy when they assist you in finding your family. There are city, county, state and federal records. So you have many places to check out. You can use the Internet also to find some records. Put in the search space.type.."Texas state birth records" the more you search the more you will find out things by asking people in your local government what is available. I wish you the best of luck...and happy new year 2007!

Hi Dachshund MOM!!!

There are several ways to start looking. But I got to say is time consuming, and somehow you can feel disappointed more than once! Here, on YAHOO, you can learn how to.
Go to .....
http://search.yahoo.com/searchp=people+search+services&ei=utf-8&fr=b2ie7. Copy and paste, this entirely into the Internet search.
Also you can look up in the YELOW PAGES, of places, states you my think there is a possibility.
You will need to use both of your parents, names and last names, if you decide to go into a deeper search, you will need to name the state , city and town, you think your mother had your siblings.
Searching hospitals, schools, police, voters registration and neighbors; will provide a wider chance for success.
It will be time consuming and also stressful. But at leats you will try,
GOOD LUCK, GOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY LIFE
