Any cold medicine that has an Antihistamine in it will help a LOT.
Vaseline will help on your nose...but Chapstick® works much better. Rub in on your finger tip and smooth over the chapped area of you nose.
These winter colds really suck! My hubbie has had his cold for 3 weeks now.
Hope you feel better soon.

You need to get some either aleeve cold or Tylenol cold. There are several different kinds, the best thing to do is read the label and get the kind that best matches your symptoms. I would not use a decongestant because the clogged up feeling you have in your nose is probabaly from your turbinates (tissue) in your nose swelling, from needing to blow it so much. Not from alot of mucous. you can also get some saline spray(any brand you please) it helps for swelling, tenderness and healing. The best thing for your sore nose is Aquaphor (you can find it on the lotion isle or ask for help) or just plain neosporin you can actually put this up your nose too and it will help the in side too. Hope this helps!!!

Sounds like you have a cold. Take some kind of a medication for a cold and drink lots of water. It will loosen up the crap in your nose and for the chapped nostril, try putting some chapstick on it. It will burn a bit but thats because it is trying to heal the damaged skin.

Take some medicine for cold and it is advisable that take the medicine with a cup of warm tea instead of water because it tends to give you a funny kind of feeling in your throat if your cold is serious.

dayquil....put some vaseline on the chapped part for a while to keep it from getting flaky and to soften it up so wiping it does not hurt so bad, lotion will work to.
