You can rub hand lotion on the area, and make him a soft bed.

The question is how long has he been sleeping on the floor or balcony? But generally patches like that are the same as having calluses on your hand. But I do agree, give the dog a bed with some blankets or something!

Okay this simple. You have two things maybe three things to think of. First some dogs of this kind when they lay down put most of their body weight one elbow when they lay down, and he has rubbed the hair off. Two he could have an allergy. Three, he just might layed down on a chemical, or bird poop. ONE or the other if it does not clear up with soap and water and about three days, and it seems a little irritated take the little guy to the vet.

You don't say how old he is- but usually what your describing is a callus and it is caused by sleeping on hard surfaces- doesn't have to be concrete, any hard surface, but if he is only a puppy he shouldn't have a callus already so you may want to have a vet look at it.Otherwise give him something soft to sleep on and maybe rub it with some baby oil to soften it up.

i dont mean to insult you but u dont seem to know how to take care of a pup....u shudnt let it sleep in outdoors be it the balcony or the garage till its about 6 months old.....the pup will already be missing its mother and littermates and it needs a lot of warmth from u and ur ppl...u shud make sure u sleep with the pup for atleast a month till it settles down.....hope u understand and take the poor thing in from now on..cheerz
