but to the real muslims that i know ( many of them ) there is no hated people.

Beacause western media constantly spreading misconceptions about Islam for years.

Mostly fanatic Christian, Jews and Hindus critics/orientlists try to misguide the people about Islam, they mischievously do wrong interpretation of Qur’an, they intentionally twisted the meaning of Qur’an, they always quoted from the Quran out of the context and spread confusions among the innocent people.

I suggest u read Glorious Qur'an and let analyise by your ownslef. Believe me; (if you are an honest person, and really want to know the truth) it has a power to remove your all misconceptions / doubts beared in you mind. Its provide a logical answers of all your questions.

It is because of the media. The media is always covering stories "islamic terrorists did this, muslims did that" I have never seen another regligion talked about so much in the media. But ofcourse it is always the negative things are shown and they show it as it is every muslims fault or that they all think this way. You never see Christians. Jews or anyone else being covered in the media. And alot of people go by what they see on the news and in the papers..most dont bother to learn facts.

So since the media reported that President Bush said that Islam is a peaceful religion, then according to Muslim logic it is a lie therefore they are NOT peaceful.

I believe it started with the beginning of our involvement in Afghanistan and later Iraq. The Islamic radical elements acted out the basest of their teachings by decapitating captives. These actions horrified and confused the world and world society demanded to know why the radical Muslims would act in such barbaric fashion. Hence, all of Islam is wrongly compared to those radical elements. There are other reasons but that's it in a nutshell.

Islam is not the most hated religion it is amoung the biggest groups. but some people do dislike the religion because of the violent acts that people of that religion do and put their blame on the religion.
