Purebreds vary greatly in quality.
You may be able to get one for 300 bucks, but don't expect it to be a show quality dog. A high quality would cost closer to 1000 bucks.
You need to decide what qualities you most want in it to determine the price.

It depends on the breeder and what they offer. My sister in law breeds.......she will not release a rott until the following are completed. Six week training with the owner on basic commands, (the owner has to complete the course or the deal is over)the pup is taken to the vet and given all shots,, if you want the dog to be a guard dog or a service dog, then the breeder, the owner, and the dog all go to classes to be a guard dog or service dog. She charges $1500.00 for each pup, that includes all of the above.

Depends. If you want a crazy schutzhund quality dog (meaning like a show-quality police dog with neurological problems) they'll charge you through the nose. They run for about $700.00 from a good puppy store and private breeders, though. Make sure to check out the parents if you can, though. They can give you a good idea of how your pup will be when it gets older.

I had one that i bought from a top breeder in our area years ago, her parents were top show dogs and i paid $1000. this was 14 years ago. So it will depend on pedigree. Are you going to breed? Will it be just a pet? Make sure you check out the parents. Do your research on this breed. Alot of temperament problems are genetic. Good luck. You will love this breed. Just don't buy the first one you find, you will be much happier with your choice if you do your research.

I had two. One I bought here in Oregon and one I got when we were stationed in Germany. The one in Germany was $500 and the one here was $350. The female we got in Germany was a great dog. I lost both in the divorce.

We have 2 Rotti's and we gave $200 each for them but we knew the breeder, which he usually sells his for around 4-500 each.
