Age 18 and over
Present proof of Identity and Social Security Number.

Provide proof of Texas vehicle registration and liability insurance, if you own a vehicle.

Complete required forms available at any Texas Driver License office.

Surrender out-of-state permit/license.

Pay the required fee.

Pass the written and vision examinations.

Application must include photograph and thumbprints



Under age 18

Be minimum 15 years of age.

Present the completion certificate of Driver Education (DE-964 Classroom).

Submit Verification of Attendance and Enrollment in school (TEA form GEA-043R93).
