I dont have very many positive memories of fire drills. my first one, i was about 6 and a friend and i were in the bathroom. when the alarm came, my teacher came running in and grabbed my friend and took her outside, leaving me all alone. I was scared but found my way out. I had a really sucky teacher......then another time (in middle school I think) we were having a planned fire drill to practice our exits. We still had to wait outside along time to wait for the firemen to come and practice like it was a real alarm. the same day, the school had decided to blow out the sprinklers. It was a very cold November day and we all were standing outside soaked.

well, I'm not an adult, but at my m.s. we had 3 continuous fire alarms. this was a prank from a boy. The first was at the end of the day, so it sucked a lot. the second one was the following day in 1st period.... then the 3rd one 10 minutes later. 2nd one: had to go out in the cold 3: principal told us to ignore it over the speaker. My class got mad on the last one because we were in the middle of a song.

I have 2
1. When we were in Elementary school (grade 6) there was a fire drill and no one in the class got up, the teacher was like hurry up, and we responded, " No its cold outside and this is just a drill" (it was like minus 25 C.. The teacher with a freaked out look on her face said, "No, this isn't a scheduled fire drill." Long story short one of the teachers had lit the stove on fire in the teacher's lounge.
2. I was at college in the city (I grew up in a small mountain town) and me and some of my class mates were in the library before class when we herd a bell, we thought it was just a "time to go to class drill" not thinking anything of it we continued our work, then the secretary comes running in and was like fire bell, get out get out... so we go bookin' er out into the snow and all I grabbed was my $200 text book. Everyone else in my class is standing out there freezing with their coats on, there's me t-shirt perfectly fine (it was like minus 2) They were all amazed that I wasn't cold, and I was like, "Its a mountain-er thing, this isn't cold." They all laughed...

our elementary school was old and had huge windows. My classroom had 2 of them and actually had a set of steps leading up to the window sill. So fire drills were great fun, going out the window.
