It would certainly depend on the beliefs of the individual.

Just because I never saw an alien does not mean the possibility of the existence of life elsewhere is not there.

I see your viewpoint. I just don't find it hard to believe as you do.

Belief in God is eactly like belief in any of the things you mentioned!

The only difference is I never heard of a tooth fairy, Easter bunny, Santa Clause or Leprachauns slaughtering billions! If there would be stories of them doing that I'd have to say they too are evil!

Luckily none of these things are real and neither is God!

Easter Bunny, Santa, and everything else are mere mascots that go with holidays. After the age of 7 or so when we actually come to our senses, we understand that these "mascots" are rediculous. But God, if you choose to believe in him, is extremely hard to miss. He has worked so many miracles, obviously, and hidden in my life. God just makes alot of more sense than all of those funny creatures, so atleast give him a chance.

There is no penalty for believing.
There "may be" a penalty for not believing.

It is faith. I am not the religious type, matter of fact, I am really don't like religion at all.

I do however believe in god, I believe in a supreme being, once you look at the world in a way that is not bias, you have to think. ALL OF THIS WAS NOT A COINCIDENCE. The world, humans, animals, thought, free will, love, laughter, family, was not created by just the random accumulation of space particles resulting in an explosion that created the sun, the earth, you and II, and millions of years of life.

You really can't believe that, seriously. This idea is why I believe in god. It is faith, some people believe it and some people don't and it is your choice to believe in him or not.

let's use an illustration about an omelet......mmmm good.....anyway.....if you were to take all the ingredient there is in making an omelet and tossed them in the air........what would happen? NOTHING.....And this is a simple omelet, without feelings, without wisdom, and no true complexities. What do you think created life....something just fell into place? At the perfect time? Did it fall into place wrong, and is that the reason we die? so then maybe we could "just stop" dying one day "because"......Every work of art, every masterpiece, every house and every home did not come from nothing....they came from hard work, thought and a creator....no matter what it is.

Qul Huwallaho Ahad
(Say: He is Allah, the One and Only.)

Allaho Samad
(Allah is Independent of aII and all are dependent on Him.)

Lam Yalid wa Lam Youlad (Neither has He an offspring nor is He the offspring of anyone.)

Wa Lam Yakun Lahoo Kufowan Ahad
(and none is equal with Him in rank.)

Actually, there is historically evidence of Jesus Christ and the writers of the Bible. Each book of the new testament is written by someone who truly believed and in most cases walked with Jesus. Each of these writers were willing to die for that belief. For each of them to write with such passion and experience such love and personal change as a result of their relationship with Him is not coincidental. It's factual.

More than that, I can speak to the difference God through His son Jesus has made in my life. It's a real difference. I have experienced love, acceptance, and forgiveness like no one can give.

Is God real? He's real to me.

If God ceased to exist this whole Universe would cease to exist. SInce Adam sinned we are living under grace. God made the world perfect and man was to stay true to God and obey Him and love Him at all times. If it weren't for God's grace would not be alive. In John 15:5 Christ says "without me ye can do NOTHING". Lam 3:22 says it is by the grace of God that we are not consumed.
Romans 6
1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
SIn separates us from God and then separation from God leaves a man defenseless and the devil can take him over. When Adam sinned he sold us out to Satan but by the Son's wonderful sacrifice we were given an opportunity to come back to God. Brethren all I can say is to trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus and knowing he died for you so you could have life more abundantly. We really don't know the measure of love the Father poured out on this sinful world you know. He is so loving it is beyond knowledge for us to understand that kind of love. God is love. 1 John 4:16.
Hosea 11:7-8 (King James Version)

7And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him.
8How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together.
Hard question for God to ask. How can I give thee up to death and destruction. It hurts God to know that He can't save everyone for He is not arbitrary but ABSOLUTE. He gives us free choice and we choose to obey Him or not and it is better to obey.

You have not seen him because you have not opened your eyes and you have not heard him because you have refused to listen. He is there and the choice to accept him lies in you because he will never force himself into your life. You may choose whatever path you want for your life because God gave that to you, but for those of us who are open to him... you need not compare our belief in him to something like Santa Claus or the tooth fairy.

It is called Faith. It is not something you can explain completely in this life. But your Creator is definitely different than the Easter Bunny! Lol
