ocourse many low level and high level vibrations go on ahead which many animals pick up easy.

an antilope for example has the shape of a vortex in the air between its horns ,the slightest change in airborne vibrations is transmitted through the horn to the animal that is why its alerted by atacking cheetahs .the vibrations of the sound of the feet hitting the ground

other animals have similar develloped sensitivity ,where by a combination of factors conclude a message .

a giant wave or an underground movement pushes sounds and displaces air in front of it ,this sends a message ahead of the coming event
like an aproaching big storm alerts everybody that can read the signals

there is no definite proof, but the tsunami in 2004 provided evidance that they probably can
