It is the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. Last Sunday (depending on where you were) was The Epiphany (In Scotland) The Baptism of Our Lord was the following day Monday. In Ireland, the Epiphany was on the Saturday and whilst we in Scotland were celebrating the Epiphany, the Irish were observing the Baptism. We are all now "singing from the same hymn sheet". These variations arise from time to time because England and Wales, Ireland, Scotland follow their own Bishops decisions on certain feast days.
