THAT DEPENDS ON WHETHER OR NOT AN ARREST WARRANT WAS ISSUED FOR NON COMPLIANCE OR CONTEMPT OF COURT. IF SHE PUSHED THE ISSUE CHANCE ARE THAT HE WILL BE DETAINED UPON ENTRY TO THE COUNTRY. HE WILL OWE ALL THE BACK SUPPORT AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER. THE LONGER HE TAKES TO PAY THE BIGGER THE BILL WILL BE . THAT BILL WILL NEVER DISAPPEAR. IT WILL HAUNT HIM FOR LIFE. TELL HIM TO PAY IT AND GET IT OVER WITH. IT'S NOT WORTH YOUR FREEDOM.

I don't know if he will have a problem at the airport but what is a given is that flags will go up and he has PROBABLY been given a felony or at least charged with one. The Child Support stuff is all linked now so even if he goes to a new state they will still get him for it. It is possible that his passport has been cancelled. If he doesn't HAVE a passport then I don't know what he is going to do because they changed the passport laws effective January 23, 2007!
See link below
"The Passport Denial Program, which is part of the Federal Offset Program, is designed to help states enforce delinquent child support obligations. Under the program, non-custodial parents certified by a state as having arrearages exceeding $2,500 are submitted by the Federal Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) to the Department of State (DoS), which denies them U.S. passports upon application or the use of a passport service."
I get child support so I have read through a lot of things over time.

Possibly. If she knows he is coming back, she could have the police there to arrest him. Even if there is no watch for him, once he has a job, and she has been smart enough to have the IRS watch for his tax return, then those back child support funds will be taken. The county or state is probably paying her what she needs. There is a record of his having to pay, so the county, or state will be looking for repayment of what they have paid for her assistance. He had his "fun" with her, and they had kids. What he helped bring into life he should help support. If he won't, how do you know he won't be as irresponsible to you. What ever his problems were with his first wife should not be a burden for the children.

Maybe not at the airport, but quite possibly while he is in the states he could. All this would go away if your "friend" would be a man and take care of his babies. Think about it, you are trying to help a guy capable of unzipping his pants but not taking responsibility for it. He deserves any problems he gets, and the longer he avoids them, the bigger they will get. Best just be a man and take care of business.

Did the wife file a claim and has a court ruled on it?
Which state is he from? All of these answers will make a difference. Some states classify this a felony offense others as a misdemeanor.

well, the honor system doesnt work, thats for sure. thats why the state and federal government passed such harsh child support laws... they are tired of deadbeats. it is now a federal offense to cross state lines to avoid child support, let alone leaving the country.
what a pig... but he still has hope.
its still fixable by just paying for what he helped create.

Why would you want to be friends with someone who would leave the country to avoid responsibility for the financial care of their own children?

I hope so too. Lock the bum up, and sell everything he owes and give the money to his kids.
